Amel Hade, 2317 8th street, died at 7:25 a.m. today in Elmlawn-Wilgus sanitarium following a brief illness. His age was 74. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Hade came to Rockford in 1928 from Princeton where he had resided many years. He was born April 13, 1874, at Chicago.
He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Helen Olander and Mrs. Lucille Armstrong, both of Rockford; three grandchildren, Joann Olander, Rockford, and Caroline and Gerald Olin, both of Princeton; three brothers, Arthur, of Rockford, Clarence, of LaGrange, and Rueben, of Buda; a sister, Mrs. Alma Kissick, of Dover. His wife, Lida, died 13 years ago.
