Virgil H. Litzenberger Virgil Henry Litzenberger, 21, of Norwood, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 3, 1928, at a hospital in Galesburg, where he was taken Dec. 30 and underwent two operations. He was born in New Windsor may 26, 1906, the son of William and Margaret Litzenberger, and after two years the family moved in 1908 to Norwood, which had since been his home. He was a member of Norwood Presbyterian church. he made friends readily and was well esteemed in the neighborhood where he lived. He leaves to mourn his death, his father, mother and four sisters: Mrs. Harve Bennett, Joy; Mrs. J. F. Clark, Aledo; Esther and Alice, at home. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. Funeral services were held at the Norwood Presbyterian church Thursday, Jan. 5, 1928, in charge of Rev. Klein, assisted by Rev. Loyal M. Thompson of Aledo. Burial was in Norwood cemetery. The pallbearers were James Lafferty, Edgar Sharer, Paul Campbell, John McClelland and Marion Campbell.
