Wilma (Sellars) Thornton, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Born April 8, 1915, in Cowpens, SC, she was the daughter of the late Albert Dub Sellars and Olema (Daniels) Sellars, and the wife of the late Oliver Falls Thornton, Jr.; her first husband and the father of her three children was Harry T. Quinn (1917 - 1973).

She was a housewife and a member of Gateway Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl Elledge and husband Robert of Duncan, SC, and Harriett Davis of Columbus, GA; a son, Sonny H. Quinn of Lyman, SC; six sisters, Jeanette Allison, Flossie Clark, Julia Sutton, Catherine Phillips, Florine Byars, Sarah Frazier; a brother, Edward Sellars; six grandchildren, Debbie Atkins, Ricky Quinn, Sheila Fulbright, Robin Conrad, Angie Cheatham, and Leslie Davis; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Thornton was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Dennis, and three brothers, Clifford, Keith, and Danny Sellars.

Visitation was 7:00-9:00 PM on Monday, October 23, 2006 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Ray K. Stuart. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.
