Janys Adams Harvey died on April 19, 2016. The youngest child of Robert McCormick Adams, Sr. and Janet Lawrence Adams, Ms. Harvey is survived by her husband, Howard G. Krane, and her children, Bennet B. Harvey, III (Lisa), Kyle Harvey, and Sasha Mayoras (Tyler), as well as her brother, Robert McCormick Adams, Jr., one sister, Mervyn Adams Seldon, and two step-daughters, Marie Bergman and Hilary Krane. She was the grandmother of four. Ms. Harvey worked as an independent real estate broker in Chicago for almost forty years. After retirement, she and her husband split their time between Chicago and Paris, France. Before rheumatoid arthritis limited her activities, Ms. Harvey was an avid tennis player and, when younger, an accomplished horseback rider. A memorial service will be held on May 20, 2016, at The Casino, 195 E. Delaware Pl, Chicago, starting at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Barnard College, Office of Development, 3009 Broadway, New York, NY 10027.
