MRS. MINNIE FITZER HORN

Services were held at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church Tuesday afternoon, August 29th for Mrs. Minnie Fitzer Horn who passed away Saturday evening at the Myers Hospital in Sheldon at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 13 days, after a brief illness. Rev. B. H. Romanowski, pastor, conducted the service.

Minnie Fitzer Horn was born January 13th, 1867 at Stockton, Ia., daughter of August and Hannah (Diedrich) Bierkamp.

Minnie Bierkamp and Henry Fitzer were married Aug. 9th, 1887 To this union three children were born; Bertha Aurand, deceased, in 1937; Gustav Fitzer, deceased, in 1918 and John Fitzer, of Hartley. Henry Fitzer passed away March 12th, 1908.

John Horn and Minnie Fitzer wore married June 2nd, 1925. Mr. Horn was the father of four children by a former marriage — Frieda, Julie Ann, Hilda and Ar­thur.

The deceased was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Trinity Ladies Aid and was a faithful worker in both until the time of her late illness. She was also a member of the local Rebekahs.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, two children, six brothers, three sisters and one stepdaughter, Hilda Horn.

She is survived by one son, John Fitzer, one sister, Gusta Brandt of Reinbeck, Ia., four grandchildren; Elda Rost, Viola White, Helen Baird and Lieut. Orville Aurand who is with the Army Air Force in New Guinea; and seven great­ grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Jim and Clair Byers, Ed Swanson, Chester Perry, Phil Houston and Tom Talmadge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Sieb Johnson, Emma Fischer, W. R. Wagner and John Linder with Mrs. Gobel Graves at the piano. Interment was made in the family lot at Hartley.
