Obituary:
Mother Sarah L. Rhodes was born on March 11, 1933 to the late Joe Willie and Rosie McAdoo Gooch. She departed this walk of life peacefully on May 30, 2016 at her residence.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Bradley Creek Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A.F. Murray. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Willie and Rosie McAdoo Gooch; husband, John "Bubba" Rhodes and son, Ronnie Rhodes; brothers, Willie B. and James Gooch; sister, Mary E. Gooch; grandson, A.J. Cooper.
Mother Sarah L. Rhodes was well loved by everyone she came in contact with.
Her beautiful life will be cherished in the lives of her children; Viola (Walter) Owens, Joan and Lonnie Gooch, John T., Joann and June Rhodes, Janet (Antoine) Hall and Jane (Dwight) Cooper all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one sister, Allise Lyons of Nashville, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; devoted friends, Mother Mattie L. McKnight, Sister Carmine Woods, Mother Annie Williams and the entire Mother Board of Bradley Creek Missionary Baptist Church; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
