The death of Charles Dutcher of Yell township, who was taken to Fort Dodge to the hospital, following an attack of the flu, followed by quinzy, Erysipelas and lastly pneumonia, occurred at the hospital a week ago Sunday where he was taken just a week previous.
Charles Richard Dutcher was born in Webster County, September 20, 1892, and passed away at the hospital in Fort Dodge May 13, 1923. He grew to manhood in the McGuire Bend neighborhood in Yell township. August 14, 1922, he was united in marriage to Miss Molly Milburn. Besides his bride of less than a year, he leaves to mourn his untimely death his father, Richard Dutcher, two brothers, Willie and Leslie Dutcher, and one sister, Miss Elsie Dutcher. His mother and one sister, Thressa, preceded him in death.
Judged by the standards of men there were few like Charley Dutcher. He was peaceful, clean, square and honorable and held the friendship and esteem of everyone in his neighborhood. Funeral services were held from the McGuire Bend United Brethren church, conducted by Rev. Heck of this place, and interment was made in the cemetery there. The sincere sympathy of all is extended the relatives in their hour of sorrow.
