ADELE SABLOW HANOVER, 77, of New York, formerly of Memphis, TN, died on Sunday, February 6, 2011, at her home. Born in San Antonio, TX on October 17, 1933, Adele was the daughter of the late Mollye and Hyman Sablow, and the wife of the late Jack Ronald Hanover. A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, Adele was a member of Baron Hirsch Congregation and it's Sisterhood. Adele is survived by her four children: Lee (Frumie) Hanover of Brooklyn, NY, Trudy (Gabriel) Klugmann of Passaic, NJ, Wendy (Chaim) Brecher of Lawrence, NY and Marc (Jan) Hanover of Memphis, TN; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews. Adele also leaves behind her brother, Sidney Sablow of San Antonio, TX; her brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Selma Sablow of San Antonio, TX; and a brother-in-law, David Carney of Louisville, KY, husband of the late Betty Frances Hanover Carney. The Funeral service will be held Monday, February 7, at 3 p.m. at The Sam Abraham Chapel in Baron Hirsch Cemetery, 1523 South Rozelle. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Baron Hirsch Congregation, 400 South Yates Rd., Memphis, TN 38120.
