—She was born May 9, 1913, in Knox County, the daughter of Lewis and Romine [Romain] Brady Dillinger.
—She was married to Hadley Howard Bowen on March, 1942 in Edina and he survives. Also surviving a son, Hadley H. Bowen, Jr. of Canton, Illinois; a daughter, Mrs. Ronnie (Carol Jean) Anderson of Brashear, three brothers, Ralph Dillinger of Quincy, Russell Dillinger of DeKalb, Texas and Dwyne Dillinger of Hooks, Texas. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lewis (Blanche) Corbin, Mrs. Agnes Litchfield of Knox City, Mrs. Earnest (Geordie) Lasswell of LaBelle and nine grandchildren.
—Mrs. Bowen has spent most of her life in Knox County, in the Baring Community. She was a member of the Baring Community Church.
—Burial was in the Park View Memorial Gardens at Kirksville. Visitation was after 2 p.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel.
