Betty Jo Turner, 74, of Amarillo died on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 in Amarillo.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel with Pastor Max Beggs of Family Worship Center, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage, Amarillo TX 79103.

Betty Jo was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma and moved to the Amarillo area in 1954. She worked at the Quarterhorse for 26 years as a bookkeeper, and then worked as a home healthcare nurse until her retirement.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, that truly loved her family. She lived for them. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, going on drives, and loved fashion. Betty Jo was an energetic person full of life. An unselfish person, always putting others ahead of herself. Her grandchildren were her life. She loved the Lord, and was a member of Family Worship Center.

Survivors include, Frank Hussey; two daughters, Lisa Ann Moore and her husband Jerry of Bedford, TX; and Debra Lynn Davis and her husband Bob of Amarillo; a grandson, Michael Jerrod Davis of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Aimee Michelle Moore of Bedford; granddaughter; Jamie Lynn Jabalera of Amarillo; granddaughter Lauren Allyn Moore of Bedford and grandson, Matthew George Mayes of Amarillo and five great-grandchildren.

The family will greet visitors Thursday evening from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
