Columbian Centinel dated 26 Jan 1828, Boston: Howe, Hon. Samuel of Northampton, one of the judges of the Court of Common Pleas of this Commonwealth, died in Boston, 19th inst., aged 43.

Judge Samuel Howe (son of Dr. Estes Howe of Belchertown, and Susannah Dwight, b. June 20, 1785... He married Sept. 13, 1807, Susan Tracy, b. Jan. 18, 1785 (dau. of Hon. Uriah Tracy, U.S. Senator from Connecticut, b. in 1754 and d. 1807, and Julia Bull). She d. at Worthington, Mass., June 26, 1811; and, he m2. Oct. 10, 1813, Sarah Lydia Robbins, b. Dec. 16, 1787 (dau. of Hon. Edward Hutchinson Robbins, Lieut. Governor of Mass., and Elizabeth Murray). He d. Jan. 20, 1828, aet. 42 at Boston. Children by first wife: i. Susan Tracy Howe, b. July 27, 1808. ii. Uriah Tracy Howe, b. June 25, 1811. By second wife: iii. Estes Howe, M.D., b. July 13, 1814. iv. Mary Howe, b. April 11, 1816; d. May 23, 1816. [Incomplete.]

Note: The news article got it wrong, he died on the 20th and he was in his 42nd year. There is a poss he died bef midnight on the 19th, and was pronounced the next day. The stone does seem to say the 20th, but I've req a clear pic.son of Dr. Estes Howe

Re-interred 10 May 1836 from tomb 24, King's Chapel, Boston. The carrier at Boston is stating he was rec'v from Northampton, they must mean "of Northampton".
