Born Sept. 7, 1944, in Sharon, he was a son of William and Mary (Yarabinec) Gereb. He graduated in 1962 graduate from Sharon High School then received his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Denny was employed by Dillard's at Fallen Timbers in Maumee, Ohio. He previously worked for Big Lots and Kmart.
Denny was highly skilled at making intricate models and memorabilia of historical and cherished memories, such as scenes or characters from movies, classic cars, airplanes, and compilations of an assortment of other things. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. His humor, appreciation of the little things, always positive attitude, and love for his family will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer (Bradford) Garrison, Dennis Thomas Gereb, Rebecca (Joshua) Healy, Sara Jensen, Megan (Kevin) Coutcher and Erik Jensen; sister, Elaine (Edward) Spondike; brother, William (Donna) Gereb; and grandchildren, William, Madeline, Colten, Josiah, Axton and Alexander.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
Interment: Bedford Memorial Cemetery.
