Services for RUBEN ALLEN FLOWERS will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Springer Baptist Church with Elder
Curtis Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Springer Cemetery. Bearers will be O. J. Testerman, Bill Sutherland, Luther Smith, Roscoe Smith, Melvin Sampley and Roy Jones. Flowers was born February 4, 1887 in Texas County, Missouri. He moved to Springer, Oklahoma in 1928 from Tulsa. He died at Ardmore Hospital, March 29, 1970. He married Nannie Stevenson in 1940 in Stonewall, Oklahoma. He was a retired school bus driver with 18 years service and a member of the Springer Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow, Nannie of the home ; five sons, Cecil, Woodrow and J. C. Flowers, all of Glendale, Arizona, Hershell Flowers of Broken Arrow, Ok and Henry Flowers of Springer; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Cutburth of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Mrs. Myrtle Torbett of Tulsa ; two brothers, Bill Flowers of Ada, Ok. and Roy Flowers of Cimarron, Kansas ; 18 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
