Early Life: Willard was born on February 11, 1925, in Orem, Utah, to Samuel and Miriam Ellen Covington Bradshaw. He was raised in Orem, on his family's fruit farm during the Great Depression.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Following high school, he was drafted into the United States Army to fight in World War II. He served a mission in the California mission. In 1975, he married Carole Castro Mauia in the Salt Lake Temple. He earned his Ph.D. in Comparative Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. He accepted a Professorship at Brigham Young University in Microbiology and taught for 30 years. Willard Henry Bradshaw passed away peacefully on May 26, 2016, surrounded by family members at his home in Springville, Utah. He was 91.
Survived By: His wife, Carole; their four children: Albert, Nagasaki, Japan; Mike (Stephanie), Orem, UT; Marie (Darin), Clinton, UT; Gilbert (Marin), Orange County, CA; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: His parents and all of his siblings: Samuel (Raul), DeLenna, Robert and Beth.
