Funeral services for Leona Marie Britton Eikenbary, 90, of Colony will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Colony Baptist Church with the Rev. Truman Smith and the Rev. Larry Matthiesen officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Southwestern Memorial Hospital in Weatherford.
Leona was born to Henry and Beulah Elizabeth (Deaton) Britton on Dec. 3, 1915 in Chandler.
Leona was raised and attended school in Follett, Texas, graduating from Follett High School in 1932.
On Nov. 30, 1935, Leona and Woodrow Wilson Eikenbary were married in Arnett.
Leona worked as a church secretary and as a secretary for a tag office. However, she was primarily a homemaker.
Leona enjoyed knitting, singing, crossword puzzles, and sewing for her family.
Leona is survived by two daughters, Barbara Amen, of Weatherford and Betty Smith of Madisonville, Texas, a Brother, Alvin Edward Britton of Oregon; four sisters, Jessie Mae Booth of El Reno, Elsie Norwood of Abilene, Texas, bonnie Cartwright of Amarillo, Texas, and Ruth Edwards of Prague; seven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Eikenbary; an infant son, George Alvin; a daughter, Elizabeth Matthiesen; and two sisters, Annabelle Bales and Fay Woodard.
Memorials may be made to the Colony Baptist Church.
