Mrs. Jeanett [sic] Smith, age 94, who has been living with her son, Rev. Walter J. Smith for the past three years, passed away this morning at 8 o'clock from the infirmities of old age.
She was the widow of Ashel [sic] W. Smith, who preceded her to his reward about ten years ago. She leaves seven sons and three daughters who are John L. Smith and I. N. Smith of Minneapolis, James R. Smith, Ezra R. Smith and Rev. Walter J. Smith of Brainerd, George A. Smith and Stillman Smith of Canada; Mrs. J. Groves of Bay City, Mich.; Mrs. Samuel Moorhead of Campbell's Bay, Canada; Mrs. W. C. Haire of Campbell, Minn. One daughter, Mrs. McKendrick of New Brunswick, Canada, died several years ago.
For the last twelve years the deceased had made her home in Brainerd and Minneapolis, making her home with her different sons. She was a devoted Christian and found her greatest solace in Bible study and being a directing force of love and devotion in her large family circle. She held membership in the Presbyterian church of Canada.

Services for Mrs. A. W. Smith from

Funeral services for the late Mrs. A. W> Smith will be held at the home of Rev. Walter J. Smith, 413 Second street, north, on Saturday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. S. M. Kelly officiating.
The body will be taken to the old home at Campbell's Bay, Province of Quebec, Canada for burial beside that of her husband.
Mrs. Smith was born at Lenark [sic], Ontario, Canada, October 8th, 1828. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, p. 6, c. 2)
Ezra Smith accompanied the body of his mother Mrs. A. W. Smith to Campbell's, Bay Quebec, Canada for burial beside her husband. Mr. Smith will be joined in Minneapolis by his brother, I. N. Smith. (Brainerd Daily Dispatch, 31 March 1923, p. 2, c. 4)
