                       EZRA R. SMITH

      Was born in Collfield, Canada, December 25, 1873. Graduated from the central high school of that city and from the law department of the University of Minnesota in 1900. Was admitted to the bar and practiced in Minneapolis until 1907, when he came to Brainerd to become associated with his brother in the real estate business, in charge of the legal department of that firm, under the firm name of Smith Bros.
      Is a member of the University of Minnesota Delta Chi fraternity, the Minneapolis Commercial Club and secretary of the Commercial Club and a veteran of the Spanish-American war, having served in the 13th Minnesota Volunteer Infantry.
