Leona was born June 27, 1915 at Hoyt to Charles A. Parks and Ottia May Kennedy Parks. She died Friday at McAlester Regional Hospital.
She married Lloyd Burrus on October 6, 1934 at Coalgate. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a cosmetologist and seamstress.
Survivors include her husband Lloyd of the home, a son; four grandchildren, five great-granchildren, four sisters; and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services for Leona H. Burrus, 74, of McAlester will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ with Rev. Harry Lay and Rev. Steve Lay officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Chaney's Funeral Home of McAlester is in charge of the arrangements.
