Born in Brooken, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Henry and Effie Mae (Kirby) Bickle. She had lived in Pittsburg County all her life until she moved to Texas to be near her daughter. She married Elmer "Pete" Bristow in 1931 and he preceded her in death. She was a resident of Fredericksburg, Texas and died there at the age of 92. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, D.J. Bristow; a brother, Jack Bickle, and a sister, Leona Burris.
