He was retired from General Electric, and a member of Jeffersontown Masonic Lodge #774 and Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia McCool; and brother, Cecil "Cliff" McCool (Margaret).
His funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Friday.
