Heidi Gardiner 52, passed away in Bountiful Utah of complications of diabetes. She was born and lived her entire life in Bountiful, Utah. A graduate of Bountiful High School in 1981 and a graduate of LDS Business College in legal studies in 2007. She is survived by her brother, Scott Gardiner (Sacramento California) and preceded in death by father - Merlin Gardiner, mother - Marilyn George, and brother - Cory. Although Heidi never married or had children, she loved being with children and babysat for neighbors and friends frequently. Additionally, while working for Prospect Airport Services at the Salt Lake City airport, she often worked in what's called the Den and did a great job at that, earning praise from her managers.
Heidi had a wonderful memory and could remember events and happenings from years ago without any problem. She was very sociable and enjoyed working at the airport because it gave her a chance to meet and talk with many people. Her simple, unassuming nature endeared her to people and they would often converse with her freely. She talked about the LDS General Authorities she meet as well which actors or actresses came through the airport.
She worked at several places in her life such as Target, Burger King, as a nanny in New York, and at a couple of elementary schools in the cafeteria. As a volunteer for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics she worked both the opening and closing ceremonies. Her life included the LDS Church, where she has worked in the library for the last two years.
Cross stitch and was a favorite of hers. Many of her cross stitch products went to those around her as gifts. Her other passions were word search books, reading novels, and Sidoku.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Kimball Mill Ward, 650 South 200 East, Bountiful, Utah. Viewings will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the services.
