Evelyn S. Hansen, 85, died October 23, 2006 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on July 14, 1921 to John and Ruth Olson in Mobridge, South Dakota.

Evelyn came to Oklahoma City in 1949 with her husband from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She graduated high school in Selby, South Dakota where she had the honor of being homecoming queen. Evelyn was a member of the Scandinavian Club, Oklahoma Hospitality Club, Republican Women's Club, St. Paul's American Lutheran Church and various church Women's Circle groups, Criterion Bookclub, and the Sertoma Women's Club.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Olson; brother, Dean Olson; and husband, Leonard M. Hansen, Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard M. Hansen, Jr. and John M. Hansen and her grandchildren, Shannon Bailey of Columbus, GA and Leonard M. Hansen, III of Melbourne, Australia.

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul's American Lutheran Church Educational Fund.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 27, 2006 at St. Paul's American Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
