Donald worked at Swayne, Robinson and Company retiring in 1990.
He married Jacquelyn Johnson, they made their home in Dayton, Ohio with their 2 sons, Tod Howard and Donovan O'Neil Shipp.
A former member of The Original Church of God, Richmond, Indiana. At the time of his death, he was a member of Phillips Temple CME Church.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Plina Shipp; sister, Jessie Mae Studivant; brother, Bernard Shipp.
