Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Plina Shipp; sister, Jessie Mae Studivant; brother, Bernard Shipp.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Jacquelyn Shipp; three children, Tod Shipp, Donovan (Kimberly) Shipp, Laura (Gregory) Sharp; sister, Shirley Tyler; brother, Clarence (Lucretia "Krinka") Shipp; grandchildren: Shantelle Shipp, Shanice Shipp, Selena Shipp, Denecio (Ann) Shipp, Donovan Shipp II, Khelse Shippy, Adam Johnson, Jerrod Shipp, Jermaine Shipp; long-time friends, Brice Sims, Joe and Dorothy Welch; sister-in-law, Cheryl Johnson; cousin, Mary Spencer; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
