Edna Ruth Morelock Holt, 71, of Greeneville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday.

She was an active member of Midway United Methodist Church. She lived to serve the lord and loved her youth (babies) with all of her heart.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Rev. Jerry Holt; Children: Randy and Jannifer Holt, Tammy and Jon Walker, Christy and Terry Casteel, and Marty Holt; grandchildren: Timothy Holt, Mathew and Tamara Morrison, Jared Casteel, Jaelyn Casteel, Brandon McCamey, William Walker, and Aaron Walker; great-grandchildren: Troy Morrison and Grayson Morrison; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Myrl and Teresa Morelock and Don and Janice Morelock; two sisters-in-law: Janie and Dale Fincher and Doris Holt; several nieces and nephews; special friend and loving caregiver: Carrie Parvin and the staff of Caris Health Care.

She is the daughter of the late Troy and Selma Morelock and was preceded in death by a baby sister, her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Blaine and Georgia Holt; brother-in-law: Rev. Richard Holt.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27th, from 2 - 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday in the Doughty-Stevens Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Holt, Bill Marks, Bill Brown, and Chuck Stott will officiate.

Interment will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28th, at Greene Lawn Memory Gardens. Those who wish to travel in procession to the cemetery are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens by 9 a.m.

Active pallbearers will be Mathew Morrison, Jared Casteel, Aaron Walker, Brandon McCamey, Lynn Shipley, Jeff Gunter, Mikey Fincher, Kevin Fincher, and David Franklin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Midway United Methodist Women, Rev. Jim Fain, Ikey Brobeck, and Chris Shipley.
