He was born in Burke County to the late Charlie and Hessie Bess Biggerstaff. Howard was a member of Reeps Grove United Methodist Church and Teamster's Local #61. He was a long line driver for Carolina Freight for over 32 years. Howard loved to cook, mow grass and watch his grandson Pate play for the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Nadine Powell Biggerstaff; son, Tim Biggerstaff; and brother, Charles Biggerstaff.

He is survived by daughters, LaQuita Biggerstaff of Lawndale and Tonya Craig (Todd) of Lawndale; grandchildren, Hannah Nadine Craig (Michael Myers), Pate Todd Craig, Sarah Kathryn Biggerstaff, Samantha Carol Biggerstaff, and Amanda Sanford Webb.

Funeral:Reeps Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Dale Pederson and Rev. Travis Allshouse officiating.
Burial will follow in church cemetery.
