son of John Casey and Mary Casey, formerly Fitzpatrick, of 131 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin.
Born in 1872, and baptised in St. Andrew's Church, Westland Row, Dublin, in 1872

Recorded in the 1901 census at Cabra Road, as a 27 year old Law Clerk, single, born in Dublin City.
His brother Maurice, a 31 year old Telegraphist was also present. [b. 22 Apr. 1869]
They were boarders in the home of the Montgomery family.

Marriage.
John Joseph Casey, a bachelor, a Law Clerk, from Clonliffe Road, Dublin, son of John Casey, a Boot Merchant, married Eileen Kent, a spinster, from Clonliffe Road, daughter of James Kent, a House Agent, at St. Agatha's Church, North William Street, Dublin, on 27 April 1908.

Éamonn Ceannt
the 1916 Easter Rising leader, and signatory of the Proclamation of the Irish Republic, was his brother-in-law.

Death.
John J. Casey, aged 66, married, a Solicitor's Clerk, late of 13 St. Alphonsus Road, died on 18 October 1938, at Grangegorman Hospital.
The cause of death was Carcinoma of the Oesophagus, 1 year, Cardiac Failure, 5 days, certified
