ALBERTA D. BLOWE — KEYSER — Alberta Diane "Bert" Blowe, 57, of 47 Spring Street, Keyser, WV, died Thursday, April 15, 2004 at her residence.

Born on May 18, 1946 at Williamsport, WV, she was a daughter of the late Ashby and Dorothy M. (Bruce) Beckwith. She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Paige, Clyde, Richard and Paul Beckwith and one sister, Catherine Ortiz.

Mrs. Blowe was retired from the finishing department at the Mead-Westvaco Luke Mill. She was a 1965 graduate of Petersburg High School and was an active member of the Church of God in Christ in Piedmont, WV. An active supporter of the County United Way, she provided encouragement and motherly love to many over the years and she will, indeed, be greatly missed.

Surviving are three daughters, Neenah M. Minhas and husband Zulfiqar of Keyser, Nickole V. Price and husband Frederick of Piedmont, WV and Nola L. Blowe of Keyser; one son, Phillip W. Blowe and wife Debra of Keyser; two brothers, Daniel Beckwith and wife Gloria of Burlington, WV and David Beckwith and wife Sharon of Keyser; three sisters, Sarah Edmondson of Columbus, Ohio, Mary Zeteda and husband Emanuel of Lorain, Ohio and Betty Taylor of Piedmont, WV. Also surviving are her very special friend, Lester "Skip" Clifford, Jr., of Piedmont; 12 grandchildren, Joshua, Dominique and Lacrisha Blowe, Jennae Price, Jasmin and Jackie Price, Fatima Minhas, Deven Blowe, Jessica Sutherland, Daniel and Michael Ross, and Cantrell White; two great-grandchildren, Quincy Ross and Caleb Mongold as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends were received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Saturday, April 17 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Sunday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Henderson Wheeler, Rev. Darnell Allen and Rev. David Coleman officiating.

Interment was in the Potomac Memorial Gardens, Keyser.

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to the family in care of Nickole V. Price, 103 E. Hampshire Street, Piedmont, WV 26750.
