OGDEN -- I left this life on August 1, 2001 at the age of 71. I was born on Jan. 16, 1930, a daughter of Archie William Ranson and Esther Bennett in Ogden, Utah. My parents later divorced and I was raised by my dad and stepmother, Margaret Ranson.

I lived in Ogden most of my life. I graduated from Ogden High School in 1948.

I married Duane J. Gibson on Nov. 27, 1948. On Feb. 13, 1951 we were sealed in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple.

I have five children, Alan Duane (Wendy) Gibson, Roy; Kenneth Leon (Joleen) Gibson, Roy; Robin Marie Gibson, Ogden; Tamra Lea (Rulon) Fuhriman, Ogden; Gaylynne (David) Shakespeare, Ogden; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. I also have one sister, Bonnie Jean (Hyrum) Price, Malad, ID; one brother, Jerry (Althea) Ranson, Layton; eight half sisters; and three half brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Funeral directors, Myers Mortuary in Ogden.
