A youthful sleeper lies
One whom we hope was made
"Unto Salvation rise."
In early youth he made
The law of God his guide,
His parents ever he obeyed
The sabbath sanctified.
When sickness seized his frame
When death it seemed had come
He murmured not but meekly said,
"The will of God be done."
Reader, when we shall walk
Through death's dark vale alone,
May we like Arthur say by faith,
"Thy will, O God, be done."
