Mildred Liming Gill, 90, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Millie was born in Joplin, VA on September 6, 1925 to Clayton and Sadie Liming. In 1943, Millie began working at Ft. Belvoir, VA where she met her husband of 54 years, Joseph P. Gill Sr. (deceased), and made their home in Alexandria, VA where they raised three children, Brenda M. Hinkle (Robbie), Joseph P. Gill Jr. (deceased), and Patricia G. Street (Greg). Millie had seven grandchildren, Dawn, Lori, Robin (deceased) Dina, Teresa, Bill, and David (deceased); five great grandchildren Jessica, Heather, Hailee, Jordan, Sammy, and Jimmy; and the newest member of the family, great great grandchild, Blake James. Millie was an avid reader and loyal Orioles fan. In 2014, Millie moved from her Groveton home that she lived in for 60 years to Greenspring Village in Springfield, VA where she made new friends and enjoyed many activities, especially accumulating lots of Bingo Bucks. Millie will be interred at Mt. Comfort Cemetery on Thursday, May 26 at 11:00 am.
