Enlisted from Redding April 1, 1778 as a musician in the company of Capt. Eli Catlin. 5th Regt Conn Continental Line, Col. Phillip B. Bradley commanding and served to the end of the war. He was a pensioner under the Act of
March 18, 1818 and was granted an annual allowance of $96 under an application dated April 8, 1818. His name was placed on the pension roll November 11th of that year, and he received $1,527.16 in pension payments up to 1834. The Calvin Jenkins buried at Lonetown appears to be this pensioner.
