Wayne R. Beland 76 of Leominster, died Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on October 28, 1939, in Leominster, MA and was the son of the late Roland and Gertrude (Matheson) Beland. Wayne graduated from Leominster High School. Then went on to serve his country in the United States Navy as a Veteran of the Vietnam War Era. He attained the rank of E-4 earned the Good Conduct Medal and served aboard the USS Angler. He worked at T.R.W. Tool and Die shop in Westminster for 35 years. Wayne was a member of the St. Jean's Club, the American Legion, and the U.S. Submarine Veterans. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Barbara L. (DeBonnville) Beland of Leominster. Two sons Kevin Beland of North Carolina and Keith Beland of Alabama, a daughter Denise Williams of Alabama, a sister Jeanne Dubrule of Fitchburg, nine grandchildren Todd, Brianna, Jessica, Makayla, Tiffany, Jacob, Brittany, Zachary, and Tyler. He was predeceased by his brother Francis Beland in 2002.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 11:00 am in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery 111 Glenallen Road Winchendon. There are no calling hours. Wright-Roy Funeral Home 109 West St. Leominster is directing arrangements.
