Born in Waynesboro, Ga., Mrs. Crawford lived in Hillside before moving to Roselle eight years ago.
She worked as a teachers aide for the Newark Board of Education at the Bergen Street School (now Brown Academy) for 28 years.
Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Solid Rock Baptist Church in Irvington.
She was the wife of the late Earl Crawford; mother of Tyrenn Crawford and Sean Crawford and his wife, Joclyn; sister of Elease Snead, Helen Walton, Lola Pugh, Flora Cooper, and Mark, Peter, Eugene, Garfield and the late Wilson Rouse.
Grandmother of five, she is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
