A retired educator of 34 years from the Iberville Parish School System, native of White Castle and resident of Bayou Goula peacefully departed this life at 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2013 at her resident. She was born on July 4, 1950 to the late Clyde and Stella Scott Osborne. She is survived by her daughter: Sheba Nicole Osborne, Baton Rouge, two godchildren: Felton Flemings, III., White Castle and Charlisa Osborne, Plaquemine, two sisters: Linda Phillips (Lenard, Sr.) of Plaquemine and Viola Martin of White Castle and one brother Chris Osborne of Bayou Goula; two sisters-in-law Attie Osborne, Bayou Goula and Gloria Osborne, Baton Rouge Osborne, Baton Rouge; many devoted nieces including Angelia O. Elzy, White Castle, loving nephews, supportive cousins ,many dedicated friends, and numerous love ones. Marilyn was a member of the St. John Church Ministry, Worthy Matron of the Virginia Lewis Chapter # 7 O.E.S. PHA; Past Matron of the District IV O.E.S., PHA; Henry Gallon Court # 30 Heroines of Jericho, PHA, Iberville Parish Retired Teachers Association and the St. John's Father Club Family Circle.
