Raymond Osborne, a humble servant of God was called to eternal rest at 7:50 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2009, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 64 and a native of White Castle. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria K. Osborne; son, Raymond "Ray-Ray" Osborne; a stepdaughter, Kolonda Randolph; three stepsons, Kris and wife Danielle, Ralph and wife Hilda Randolph, and Travis and wife Shendell Kelly, all of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Larry Sr. and wife Attie Osborne, and Chris William Osborne, all of Bayou Goula; five sisters, Linda and husband Lenard Phillips, of Plaquemine, Mary O. Little, Viola and husband Elton Martin, and Patricia O. Richards, all of White Castle, and Marilyn Osborne, of Bayou Goula; mother-in-law, Francis Pigeon; father-in-law, James Brown, of Baton Rouge; many loyal family friends and relatives including Roosevelt Pierre, of Bayou Goula, Elmer Thomas, of Dorseyville, Mary Jackson, of Plaquemine; a devoted brother-in-law, Ernest Richards, of Houston; nine stepgrandchildren; two goddaughters, Anthedius Uressa and husband Oliver Shamburg, of Plaquemine, and Cassandra Favorite, of Bayou Goula; two aunts, Dorothy Osborne, of New Orleans, and Mary Osborne, of Baton Rouge; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends whom he cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Stella Scott Osborne; two brothers, Clarence and Clyde Osborne Jr.; a sister, Virginia Osborne; and his first wife, Lillian A. Osborne. He was a member of the Masonic King and Christianaire Gospel Singers of Bayou Goula and a 1965 graduate of Iberville High School.
