Obituary: Christine B. Adams
Age 99 of Selbyville, DE died October 15, 2005, at the Seaford Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Seaford.

A 1928 graduate of Women's College of the University of Delaware with a BS degree in home economics, Christine taught home economics for 18 years at the former Selbyville High School and the former Rehoboth High School. Later, she was a social worker for 10 years for the Delaware Department of Health & Social Services. Mrs. Adams was a lifelong and very active member of Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville, a 50-year member and past president (1970-1972) of the Selbyville Community Club, and a member and former officer of the Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs. As a member of the federation, she thoroughly enjoyed traveling with them in Europe. She was a member of the Hoornkill Chapter of the National Association of the Daughters of the American Colonists.

Her son, Lt. Thomas B. Adams, was killed in action in Vietnam in 1968; her husband, H. Burl Adams, died in 1989; and she was preceded in death by her parents, Edward V. and Sallie Long Baker.

Rev. Dr. Bruce Cooke will conduct the funeral service at 11 am on Friday, October 21, at Salem United Methodist Church in Selbyville. Interment will be in Redmen's Cemetery in Selbyville.
