Love was born in 1749 in Somers Ct. She was the child of Samuel and Jerusha (Kibbe) Pearson. Her siblings are unknown. She married Lemuel Kibbe, the son of Daniel and Mary (Pratt) Kibbe in Ellington Ct. in 1774. Love married her cousin, her mother's nephew. Lemuel was the son of her mother Jerusha's bother Daniel. The marriage was performed by the Reverend John Bliss in the home of Love's parents. Love was 25, and Lemuel was 22. The couple had 8 children. The first child named Love Kibbe died at birth or shortly thereafter in 1785. Lemuel left home in 1776 to served in the American Revolutionary War. He returned safely to his family from the war, and died in Somers in 1827 at age 75. Love died 12 years later in 1839, age 90.
As for their children: Justus married Lovina Phillips in 1808 and died at the age of 74. Lemuel Jr. married Submit Hunn, daughter of a Revolutionary patriot from Lyme Ct. Lemuel died at age 55. Calvin married Zelinda Kibbe in 1810 and died age 56, in 1844. Orrin married Charity Winchell who died in 1853, and then married Eliza J.C. who died in 1861. Orin died in 1865 and is buried with Charity. Lemuel, his wife Love and their children were buried in North Cemetery in Somers Ct.
