Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o'clock fro Mrs. Frances M. Schatz, 82, of this city who died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.
Mrs. Schatz, who recently had been making her home at the Hillcrest Convalescent Home, 420 Mascoutah Ave., had entered the hospital on Sept. 2.
She was born in Germany on May 25, 1875, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Steinwagner, nee Heimerl and married George Wild in March, 1893. He died on January 13, 1918. On July 19, 1921, she married Joseph Schatz who died on Nove. 19, 1954.
Surviving are five children:
Edgar Wild, Freeburg
Walter Wild, Freeburg
George Wild, 727 Scheel St, Belleville
Edna, wife of Elmer Etling, St.Louis
Elsie, wife of Edwin Kabureck, 115 N 28th Belleville
... a brother, John Steinwagner, 516 S 16th, Belleville; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. A son Arthur, preceded her in death.
