MAYFIELD, Ky. -- Hal Thomas Wright, 66, of Mayfield, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital.
Mr. Wright, a Navy veteran of World War II, was a general contractor for 40 years and was a former city councilman.
He was a member of the Graves County Library Board, First United Methodist Church and the board of trustees of the church.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Ruth Boyd Wright; his mother, Mrs. Ralph Wright Sr. of Mayfield; one son, Wesley Boyd Wright of Jackson, Tenn.; two daughters, Valerie Jones of Mayfield, and Amy Morey of Lexington; one brother, Jack Warren Wright of Houston, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Frances Wilson of Mayfield, and nine grandchildren.
His father, Ralph S. Wright Sr., and two brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Byrn Funeral Chapel. Dr. Charles Parker and the Rev. Clarence Hare will officiate. Burial will be in Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. today.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First United Methodist Church.
