Hubbard, Virginia Swann, 71, died May 19. Graveside services 10 a.m. Saturday, Arlington Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City (Bill Eisenhour NE, Oklahoma City).

Virginia S. Hubbard, beloved wife, mother and grandmother went to be with her Lord and Saviour on May 19, 2016. She was born to William L. Alexander and Bertha L. Swann on September 12, 1944 in Lynchburg , Va. She graduated from Dunbar High School in 1964. She married her high school sweetheart and the true love of her life, James E. Hubbard, Jr. on September 18, 1965. They were married and remained devoted to each other for over 50 years until her passing. She was a devoted Air Force wife for over 25 years where she traveled with her husband and raised their children. She influenced many young lives as a preschool teacher at Tinker Child Development Center at Tinker AFB Base for over 20 years. She is survived by her husband James E. and daughter Kim Hamilton of the home, her son Randy Hubbard, wife Meranda and her grandson Brendan Hubbard of Midwest City, her last surviving aunt Josephine Johnson of Restin, Va, her sister Brenda Reece and husband Cleo of Dallas, Tx, her brother Wendell Swann of Richmond, Va., sister Sheila Swann , brother Jerry Swann of Lynchburg, Va. and special and beloved niece and nephew Carolyn Rose, and Jared Swann of Lynchburg, Va, along with mother-in-law Dora Hubbard of Lynchburg, Va., sisters-in-law Gloria Lewis of Orlando, Fl. and Jean Johnson of Lynchburg, Va., and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her oldest and beloved sister Elizabeth Rose, brother-in-law Aylor Rose, her beloved aunt and uncle Edward and Mary Swann, father-in-law James E. Hubbard, Sr., and several relatives and friends. A private graveside service will be held at Arlington Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to her favorite charity, The Salvation Army, in her memory. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes.
