Military Record - Beg 06 SEP 1826

Note: "William Beach obtained a commission of lieutenant in the First Regiment of Grenville Militia on the 6th of September, 1826. He was promoted to a Captain in the Fourth Grenville Battalion on the 30th day of June 1847; was made major in the same battalion on the 20th of March, 1856, and a lieutenant colonel and commanding officer of the Fourth Battalion, vice McCargar, on the 12th April, 1860."
