Mary Lou (Matlock) Davis, formerly of Eufaula, OK, passed away on October 19, 2006 in Edmond. She was born on April 24, 1919 in Norman, OK to Stanley G. and Mahala Lee Matlock. She married Benjamin F. Davis on Jan. 11, 1941. He preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of the United Methodist Church all of her adult life, and a 50+ year member of the First United Methodist Church of Eufaula. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Ralph Matlock, and a sister, Virginia Choate. She is survived by a sister, Jewell Fox; brother, James Matlock; three children, Dr. Joe A. Davis and his wife Nancy, Dr. Walter R. Davis and his wife Kathy, and Mary Ellen Neustrom and her husband Ed. She is also survived by six grandchildren, James Davis, Joel Davis, Lisa Davis, Carrie Beach, Suzanna Post, and Joshua Neustrom, and three great-grandchildren, Emily and Tyler Beach, and Martin Davis. A memorial service is pending at Grace Living Center, 2520 South Rankin, Edmond. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home of Eufaula. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in her memory be made to the Oklahoma United Methodist Circle of Care.
