Milton L. Overmier, 90, of Liberty Center, Ohio died on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at Fulton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wauseon. He was born on April 10, 1926 in Liberty Center to the late Howard and Oneita (Kigar) Overmier. On June 4, 1950, he married Beverly (Rudolph) Overmier, who survives.
Milt was a 1944 graduate of Liberty Center High School. He was a lifelong farmer and also drove school bus for Liberty Center Schools and worked for the Ohio Dept of Transportation. He served on the Liberty Center Elevator Board of Directors, the Liberty Center School Board and the Liberty Township Zoning Board. He was also a member of the Ohio Farmers Union. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Liberty Center. Milt loved spending time with his family, playing cards, deer hunting, and attending many sporting events at Liberty Center. He was an avid fan of the Liberty Center Tigers and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
He is survived by his children, Thomas (Cindy) Overmier, Christine (John) Engler, John (Suzanne) Overmier, and Dawn (David) Busick, all of Liberty Center; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Herman, Carrie (Todd) Murdock, Scott (Clara) Overmier, Laura (Jason) Gonder, Erin (Marc) Pupillo, Michael (Anna Shamshura) Engler, Dylan (Jade) Hiltner, Miranda (Aaron Schnitkey) Hiltner, Taylor Overmier, Alison Busick, Stephanie Busick, Kate Busick; great-grandchildren, Mallory Herman, Brentley Hiltner, Emilia Pupillo and Jaxon Overmier; one brother, James Bryce Overmier. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Engler, and four brothers, Richard Overmier, Marvin Overmier, Robert Overmier and Paul Overmier.
Visitation for Milton will be held at the Wright-Hanneman-Habegger Funeral Home & Crematory, 302 E. Maple St., Liberty Center, Ohio on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 2:00 till 8:00 P.M. The funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 8074 County Road T, Liberty Center, Ohio on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Morrison Township Cemetery, Liberty Center, Ohio.
