He is survived by his wife, Velma; four children, Debbie (John) Kauffman of Archbold, Diane (Brent) Moss of Montpelier, Edward (Deb) Overmier of Bryan and Bill (Judy) Overmier of Archbold; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bryce (Jeanne) Overmier of Leipsic, and Milton (Beverly) Overmier of Liberty Center; and a sister-in-law, Donelda Overmier of Napoleon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Marvin, Richard and Paul "Duke" Overmier.
Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. John's Christian Church with Pastors Erich Christman and Adam Just officiating. Interment will follow in the Archbold Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion B.L.W. Post 311. Friends may call at St. John's Chapel from 3-8 PM on Friday. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given to Defiance Area In-Patient Hospice Center or St. John's Christian Church.
