Actor. He is best remembered for his role as 'Colonel Robert E. Hogan' in the CBS television sitcom World War II series "Hogan's Heroes" that aired from September 1965 until July 1971. He was murdered under mysterious circumstances in 1978; to date (2020) no one has been arrested or tried for his murder.
