Adelbert Coe, 88, of 218 East Tenth Street, husband of the late Hattie Pelo Coe, died Friday at the Harwood Nursing Home where he had been since Wednesday. Born in North Scriba on Oct 22, 1870 he was the son of Clark and Sarah Darrow Coe.
Mr. Coe was employed for a number of years by the New York Central lines on the maintenance department and has been retired for several years. Before moving to Oswego he was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Spedding of Oswego and Mrs. Theresa Bauer of Mexico. One brother, Amos Coe of Buffalo, 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the John E. Cullinan funeral home Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Jones officiating. Burial will be in New Haven cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the John E. Cullinan Funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday between the hours of 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
