Joyce Wilson Goodwin, 79, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away May 17, 2016. She was born on January 25, 1937 in Rushing, Arkansas to Haskell Guy and Cloma Katherine (Berry) Wilson. On March 11 1954 Joyce married Ewell C Goodwin of Hanover. Joyce worked as a LPN and Surgical Technologists. She worked for All Children Hospital and Doctors Hospital in Little Rock, then Tampa General Hospital, and University Community Hospital in Tampa Fl. Joyce and Ewell loved to travel and were able to spend many years traveling across county after retirement. Joyce was well known as a great cook by people who visited Wildwood R.V. park from around North America. Joyce and Ewell were thought of as Mom and Dad to many people, some not even kin to them. She is survived by two sons, Dale Goodwin of Tampa, Florida, and Paul Goodwin of Hanover, Arkansas; two daughters, Beverly Philipsen of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Pamela Simmons and spouse Steven Singer of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Christopher Wilde and wife Kat, Kenneth Philipsen, Jr. and wife Stephenie, Rhiannon Spillane, Richard Spillane and wife Samara, and a granddaughter in-law Heather Fellman; three great-grandchildren, Gabriella Philipsen, Isabelle Philipsen and Sylus Fellman. Three brothers, Bob Wilson of Batesville, Arkansas, Don and wife Margaret Wilson of Batesville, Arkansas, and Charles and wife Mickey Wilson of Cave City, Arkansas, One sister, Delores and husband Roger Hopper of Cabot, Arkansas, and Three Sister in-Laws Martha (Stewart) Wilson of Heber Springs, Arkansas, Mary Ann (Ivy) Wilson-Cross of Batesville, Arkansas, and May (Taylor) Wilson-Brown of Mountain View, Arkansas. She also has too many nieces and nephews to count. She is preceded in death by husband Ewell C. Goodwin, her parents, Haskell Guy and Cloma Katherine (Berry) Wilson. two brothers, Leon Wilson, and Michael Wilson one sister, Martha Allene Winningham and husband Orvil Winningham, and one sister in-law Sarah (Osborn) Wilson.
A visitation took place May 23, 2016 from 6-8PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. There was a graveside service Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at 2:00PM at Case Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas, with Reverend Shaye Fountain officiating.

Pallbearers are R.D. Hopper, Tim Winningham, Charles Wilson Jr., Allen Wilson, Greg Wilson, Matthew Goodwin, and Bob Jones.

Honorary pallbearers are Bob Wilson, Don Wilson, and Charles Wilson Sr., Roger Hopper.
