Ewell C Goodwin, 81, of Heber Springs, Arkansas passed away March 20, 2013. He was born on February 11, 1932 in Hanover, Arkansas to Cal and Daisy (McCallister) Goodwin. Mr. Goodwin was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He retired from Delta Airlines and also He was an ordained Baptist minister.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Joyce (Wilson) Goodwin of the home; two sons, Dale Goodwin of Tampa, Florida, and Paul Goodwin of Hanover, Arkansas; two daughters, Beverly Philipsen of Zephyrhills, Florida, and Pamela Simmons and Steven Singer of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren, Christopher Wilde and wife Kat, Kenneth Philipsen, Jr. and wife Stephenie, Rhiannon Spillane, and Richard Spillane and wife Heather; two great-grandchildren, Gabriella Philipsen and Isabelle Philipsen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cal and Daisy (McCallister) Goodwin; sister, Mary Stevens and twin sister, Jewell Goodwin; one brother, Bernard Goodwin along with several half siblings.
A visitation will take place March 22, 2013 from 6-8PM at Roller Coffman Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. A graveside service will take place Saturday, March 23, 2013, 2:00PM at Case Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas. Brother Roger Hopper is officiating.
Pallbearers are David Hopper, Tim Winnigham, James Goodwin, and Bennie Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers are Don Wilson, Charles Wilson, Sr. and Bob Wilson.
