She was born June 7, 1971 to Larry J. Robinson Sr. and Dorothy Brown.
Tanya Joy had an outstanding life. She started out June 4, 1989 as a graduate from Chillicothe High School with honors. She went to Akron University for two years and received a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1996. She served an internship at Grant Medical Center, Columbus from 1996-97. She served her residency at Waukesha, Wisconsin from 1997-99. Dr. Robinson spent time at the Urgent Care and Nursing Home in Brookview, Wisconsin in 1999. While in Wisconsin she worked at several health care facilities including The Martin Luther King Medical Center, Columbia St. Mary Hospital; and the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she received a board certificate. She was an assistant professor at the Department of Family Community Medicine. She served on the board of the Global Career Academy of the YWCA. She also attended Carroll College where she was a physician in the Urgent Care Unit. During the last 14 years of her outstanding life she battled cancer. So fitting is the verse, II Timothy 4:7, I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Preceded in death by her father, Larry Robinson.
Tanya leaves behind to mourn her in death her mother, Dorothy (Brown) Jones and step-father, Douglas Jones; her beloved son, Zavier A. Ware; her brother, Larry Joe Robinson and his special friend Billie Joe; her beloved and faithful sister, Larrareina (Waymon) McNeal; a nephew, Waymon, McNeal III; a special niece, Tanya McNeal; four step-sisters, Jennifer Jones, Michelle and Deanna Jones, Columbus, and Tracy Jones (Reynoldsburg); her “angel” Louis Caldwell; a God-daughter, Kierre Moore; special uncle and aunt, Virgil and Christine Bayless; and a host of other uncles; aunts; cousins and friends.
