Pg.149 "In 1829, George B. Wescott and John D. Taylor, of the Philadelphia bar, were added to the list of resident attorneys. They were chiefly employed, however, as land agents for Philadelphia owners. About the year 1831, Earl Wheeler, (Picture on Pg. 167) of the Susquehanna County bar, removed to Bethany. ... In 1836, Mr. Wescott died."

Pg.166 "George B. Wescott studied law with William Rawle, in Philadelphia, and was there admitted to practice. He subsequently came to Wayne County as an agent for Philadelphia owners of lands in the county. He was admitted to the bar of Wayne April 27, 1829, but appears to have given little attention to practice. In 1831 he was appointed prothonotary, and held the office for four years. He died at Bethany November 28, 1836, aged 31 years."
